Additional power and usable torque help a suitable tractor carry its implement with less struggle and maintain momentum under load. In the right conditions, that can mean working one or two gears higher with the same implement.
The result depends on traction, ground conditions and the job. The aim is a useful increase in working speed while maintaining the quality of the work.
FUEL EFFICIENCY
Make each litre go further.
A calibration matched to the workload can help the engine work more efficiently. Potential fuel savings are best assessed against the job completed: litres per hectare or tonne, rather than the hourly figure alone.
Working faster may use more fuel per hour yet require fewer hours to finish. Compare similar implements, loads and conditions to see the actual saving.
PRODUCTIVITY
Time is money on the farm.
Finishing a field sooner frees up the tractor and operator for the next task. Across a season, time saved can reduce labour and machine hours per job and help you make better use of short planting and harvesting windows.
Even a modest increase in work rate adds up over large areas, giving you more time to respond to weather, keep other operations moving and finish essential work when it matters.
Boostech Bloemfontein uses tested solutions from agricultural tuning specialists. These specialists measure before-and-after power and torque with PTO dynos and build a database of tested calibrations for different platforms. Their understanding of each platform’s engine, drivetrain and cooling limitations helps us select a suitable solution and estimate realistic gains for your machine.
We can configure supported tractors to operate without AdBlue/SCR, DPF or EGR systems, where permitted for the machine and its location.

AGRI TUNING QUESTIONS
Know before you book.
Can you tune every tractor or harvester?
No. Support depends on the exact model, engine, ECU and software version. Send the machine details so we can check compatibility before recommending work.
How much power or fuel saving can I expect?
On suitable tractors in good mechanical condition, a Stage 1 tune can target 15–25% more power, with calibration tailored to the machine’s safe operating limits. Fuel savings can range from 5–10%, depending on the make and model, the work being carried out and the machine’s mechanical condition. We assess each tractor individually and confirm realistic expectations for its application.
Can tuning replace a larger machine?
Yes, in suitable cases. Manufacturers sometimes use the same engine and drivetrain across several models, with different software calibrations setting their power outputs. Where the relevant hardware is genuinely shared, a carefully matched tune may provide the extra performance you need from your existing tractor. We check the exact model and hardware first, including cooling, transmission and operating limits, to confirm whether this approach suits your machine and workload.
What should I send with my enquiry?
Please send the machine’s year, make and exact model, along with its location. Include the engine hours if available.
